After a day of wear with no base or top, I had mostly only minor tip wear, mainly on my right hand - I'm right handed so that makes sense. The left corner of the right thumb was pretty well worn off. The only chipping was a tiny little one on the middle finger of my right hand. The original sparkle had also gotten quite dull after all the hand washing, lotion and oil applying.
I did repairs then put on a third coat. The third coat brightened everything back up again so the color looked fresh once more. Then I decided to go ahead and top coat. The Sally Hansen Insta-Dri was already out so I put one coat of that on and boy, did the sparkle come right back out.
That sparkle just played havoc with the camera flash.
Obviously, this polish is a top coat eater so if you want it perfectly smooth, it will probably take several coats. I used just one because I wanted the polish protected from fading but still have a slightly rough texture. And though it's hard to tell from this picture, the top coat actually deepened the colors. Again, the purple is a bit more blue leaning in real life than it appears here.
Never thought I'd like these high texture polishes but I've been converted into a fan. I also have Zoya Liberty languishing in my stash. I might just pull her out for next week's nails.
That's it for now. Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
