Isn't that key chain just adorable? And the glitters are so sparkly, they look like jewels. Then there's the polish that is just the perfect teal holo I've seen yet - soft, linear with scattered holo particles all through it. I know it doesn't look like it in the photo up there but I've got more pictures to show. I just couldn't stop taking them.
As it happened, I had already put on a nice teal crelly from NYC, Tudor City Teal, in preparation for a gradient later on in the week. Three coats to get this one opaque.
Also, as it happens, Summer Breeze is a perfect match so, of course, I had to do accent nails. One coat on top of Tudor City Teal was all it took.
The holo really is that lovely soft kind of linear that's not all in your face. Don't get me wrong, I do love a holo that smacks you between the eyes. A softer holo, though, is a nice change and totally office appropriate, in my opinion. Not that I have to worry about that. We're pretty casual in my office, for which I am truly thankful. I love glitters, holos and the blingier the better. In fact, this teal crelly is the first non-glitter- or holo-fied mani I've worn in a long while.
I did try my best to capture the holo-y goodness of Summer Breeze but without the sun, it wasn't all that easy. Although, even in just the overhead light in my room, the rainbows make an appearance. I love a holo that doesn't always require the sun to show up. Camera flash was used for all of these.
I think this one shows it best, even in the bottle
blurred on purpose, the holo shows up pretty well
the blue almost shows up here.
This will be a full mani at some point. I'll plan it around a time when the sun might actually be making an appearance, though. Of course, name of this polish brings to mind the song by Seals and Crofts. "Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowin' through the jasmine in my mind."
And now the cute little keychain. This was such a great idea and perfect for the polish obsessed.
If you're interested in purchasing your own keychain, or even the polish mine is made of or any of Laura's other tempting creations, check out her shop at ellagee.com. Her new Bejeweled line is really eye catching.
So, that's the prize package I received. Again, I want to thank Ariel of Lacquer: The Best Medicine for hosting the giveaway and Laura of Ellagee for being a participant. I am so glad I decided to explore the indie polish world. Lots of very sweet ladies in the neighborhood making lots of beautiful polish.
I'm off to finish up a post for mid week about the new Sally Hansen Satin Glams. Oh, who am I kidding? I'm off to go stare at my accent nails for the rest of the evening.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
