Sinful Colors Happy Ending with a Twist

Hi, all! Yes, I've been MIA again. Between a bad migraine that kept me in bed all day Thursday, glasses that don't work so well anymore (which is probably part of what caused the migraine), the eye exam Friday to replace said glasses and just plain tired from lack of sleep, I've been a zombie for the past few days. Didn't even do the nails again until last night. Just picked a random bottle from off the desk and this is what I came up with - Sinful Colors Happy Ending.

Happy Ending is a nice Granny Smith apple green with a strong gold shimmer. You can kind of see it here but this picture is without flash and flash shows that gold shimmer even better.

I love, love, love this color. This is three coats with base and top. Wore her this way today and since the sun was still out by the time I came home from work, I took one in the sun, which shows better what Happy Ending looks like in real life.

And since the sun was out and since I already had planned to kick this look up a notch, I put on a holographic top coat then took a ton more pics. This is the one that I think best shows the results. The top coat used is Starshine from Starlight Polish, one coat.

Starshine is a soft holographic top coat that gives the polish a hint of holo without graying out the base color so much. On the other hand, I've used Starshine over other polishes where the holo didn't show quite as well as it does over Happy Ending. The best part is that when the holo is in hiding, you can still see that lovely gold shimmer. Gonna have this one on for a while unless it starts to chip.

You can get Starshine from the Etsy shop of Starlight and Sparkles. There you'll also find Starlight, a stronger holo top coat along with more awesome top coats as well as polishes.

Now, you may recall that eons ago I mentioned I had gone through the stash to find any textured polishes I hadn't swatched yet. I had intended to do those posts last week but since I didn't, you'll get those the rest of this week. I'm going to write them up tonight and get them scheduled to make sure they actually get done.

So, off to write some more posts. Thanks for reading and stay tuned.

Penny
