Just Can't Help Myself

It's the day before Friday, which means the weekend is just one day away. TGIAF - thank goodness it's almost Friday.

So, as pretty at Curry Up is, I wanted to do something a little bit extra to it so I swatched on a nail wheel a whole bunch of glitter type polishes over Curry Up. Most of them didn't really do anything for me and some even changed the color way too much. I wanted to keep the lovely lime green but enhance it a bit. I finally settled on a flakie from Sally Hansen's Triple Shine collection called Hypnautical.

Even though the sheer base is a bit on the bluish side, it didn't alter the color of Curry Up all that much. But it did add a nice iridescent blue flash at the right angles. The larger of the flakes are quite sparse and go on very randomly. Some nails got one or two, some got more, some got none. The blue of the flakies really lights up in normal house lighting so I'm anxious to see what they look like under the lights at work.

I did a little tinkering with the mid-level brights so that the blue flash would show up as nearly true to life as possible in the photo below. My fingers are definitely not this red.

This is just a taste of what Hypnautical looks like in real life. The blue is much more prolific and makes the nails look lit from within. I think I made the right choice for glitter topper here.

That's it for now. I do have an idea for a water marble that I am definitely going to try this weekend. It's an idea I saw on the YouTube channel for My Simple Little Pleasures. Colett is the water marble queen in my book and I've learned a lot watching her vids. The one I'm going to attempt is her Bright Water Marble Accent. I have similar colors in my stash so why the heck not? The fact that only two nails on each hand is involved is purely coincidental.

So, thanks for reading and stay tuned.

Penny
