Sally Hansen Pacific Blue - Holofied!

Well, hello. Every good vacation has to end sometime, right? This one lasted a little longer than I'd planned - for the blog at least. Wasn't sure I was going to get this done tonight. Lots of stormy weather all around me but it seems to be steering clear for the moment.

There's been a lot of buzz about Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue and the change in the formulas of it, Coral Reef and Mellow Yellow. Why companies have to take successful polishes and mess with them is a complete mystery to me. Lots of good polish has been ruined that way. Makes me glad I have the original version of Pacific Blue in my stash. Haven't worn it until now, though. I also have Coral Reef but I bought that one recently so I'm not sure if I have the original of that one or not. I don't have Mellow Yellow but now I wish I did even if I don't necessarily like yellow on me.

The original Pacific Blue is a bright, almost neon cornflower blue that is just amazing. Especially when holofied with Starlight Polish Starshine, the softer effect holographic top coat.

I've only seen pictures of the new Pacific Blue. It's pretty but it won't ever hold a candle to the original.

Now, on a different note. It has been 4 months since I began using Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil.

So here are my 4 month update pictures.

I do still have  the one nail on my right hand that insists on splitting every now and then - the reason my nails are shorter now. And as you can see on the index of my right hand, I do have some lifting going on there. The little blisters are also back on my thumbs but the reason for all that is my fault.

I thought if I added my oil to the Pure Nail Oil, I could get by but not so much. Just the short few days that I used it caused all this damage. The fungal infection is trying to return, as evident on the index of my left hand. That discoloration there below the white - that's the fungus. At least, that's what I think. Hopefully there won't be any lifting there.

I am using Pure Nail Oil exclusively now since my skin just can no longer tolerate the oil that I made. Not even when added to my normal hand lotion. I use the Pure Nail Oil several times day and it's always in my hand lotion so I get a 'booster' every time I use that. I always use hand lotion after having my hands in water.

So, lesson learned on my part. If it works, don't change it. A motto nail polish companies should consider adopting.

That's all I have for tonight. I hear the thunder in the distance. Sounds like another late night before I can sleep. Oh, well. Sleep is overrated, anyway.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned.

Penny
