So, this happened today.
Ring fingernail of the right hand decided to start splitting. The polish decided to give it a wide berth by lifting off. I carefully pulled the lifted part off, saved it and then promptly dropped it when I was trying to get it back on the nail. I did the polish over again.
Now, on to the butterfly part of the post. Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped but then this was my first, real attempt at nail art so I guess it's not all that bad. My mother is always interested in what I do on my nails and when I showed her, she said she didn't see anything wrong with it. Guess I need to get in some more practice.
Ok. Enough prattling on. Here you go. Butterfly Nails in all their glory.
The thumb looks the best, I think. Even if I started out with the wrong brush. Too much black on the middle and the other three just aren't angled enough to suit me. I will get in some more practice because I do want to do this again. I like the concept.
By the way, I did not do the right hand. I overslept this morning and got in to work late. Consequently, I left work late, got home late, got started on the nails late...you get the picture.
Then, because I just don't know when to leave well enough alone, I did this...
Yeah, didn't help much. But too late to do anything different so I'll be wearing it tomorrow even though I'm currently eyeing something that came yesterday and that I'm very tempted to put on tonight instead of waiting until tomorrow night.
That would be Blueberry Ella-ment and Trenzalore from Ellagee. Blueberry Ella-ment is a polish made exclusively for members of the Gee I Love Ellagee Facebook group. Trenzalore is from Ellagee's A Good Man collection in honor of the new Dr. Who coming in August. I can see either a gradient or a sponge manicure involving these two in my future.
Ok, that's all I got for now. Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
