Butterfly Nails - Stage Two

Happy Monday, y'all!

I'm fighting another headache so I'm gonna do this one short and sweet. Just stress from work, nothing serious. Anyway....

Here is stage two of the Butterfly Wing Nails - adding the contrasting color, in this case Indie Go from I Love Nail Polish.

Instead of doing a typical gradient, I decided to get out a sponge and go to town. Just a small pinch of sponge held with tweezers did the trick and kept from completely obliterating the pink with the blue. I then went in with a bit more of the pink just so everything would blend together better.

And lest you all think I went one handed again...

Now that is an awkward pose but I do believe I might like the right hand a bit better than the left. Since I sponged on top of a generous coating of top coat, the sponged areas have a sort of 3D look to them at certain angles.

This was ridiculously easy and didn't take long at all. Tomorrow night is when the real fun begins. Until then, thanks for reading and stay tuned.
