I am really hoping to get back into the swing of things this weekend with some swatching. There's also work that needs done around the house so I'm not sure how much swatching will actually get done but I definitely want to do something specific. Have you seen the matte glitters that have come out recently?
Maybelline, Sally Hansen and Revlon all have their versions of this trend and there is one color combo that seems to be a dupe across the board. I have all three versions and I will do comparison swatches this weekend. As soon as I saw them in the store, I knew there'd be a comparison post in my future.
I also have a couple of other colors from the Maybelline line as well a red from the Revlon line that also has sparkly glitter in it. So this is going to be a gigantic post, ya'll, and it's my goal for the weekend to get it done if I do nothing else.
However, for today, I have a pretty teal to show you. While the polish is called Jazzy Jade, the color is more of a green leaning teal. It also has a light blue shimmer that I actually managed to capture. Take a look.
This is three coats - mainly because it went on a bit patchy and I needed the third coat to smooth it out. Consequently, even with a fast dry top coat, the polish was still rather soft even an hour later. Plus, it thickened up on me so the second and third coats were kind of thick and you know what that means...bubbles! But all was not lost. One of the nice things about the INM Out The Door top coat is that it does seem to minimize the appearance of bubbles.
Still, the polish is very pretty and well worth the trouble it took to get it on my nails. I just needed to start a bit earlier than 10:30 at night, for goodness sake!
That's all I have for today. Thanks for reading and stay tuned. Lots more to come.
