Naked Nail Update

Hello.

Just a quick naked nails update for you today.

It's been 8 months since I began using Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil and I believe I am now looking at nails that have been oiled during their entire growth period. They say it takes 6 months to grow a nail completely out so after 8 months it's no surprise that my nails are looking better than ever.

Here they are in extreme close up.

They've been naked for about 48 hours now. I've been oiling as frequently as possible. Pics are a couple of hours after the last oiling. Funny thing, the last couple of times I've had my hands in water, the water isn't soaking in. It's more or less beading up and slipping off instead. Kind of cool, actually.

You can still see on the right index where the nail lifted from the bed a few weeks ago. That part is growing out nicely and looks like I'll have my normal nail line back in another week or two. No more lifting so far. I think using the foil method to remove all polish with as little rubbing as possible has helped with that.

Also, take a good look at that nail on my right ring finger. This long with no splits. Wanna know why?

I had noticed that when the nail did split and I was too stubborn to file it down even, I saw no further splitting until I did file it even. As long as I keep that corner more rounded, the split doesn't seem to happen. In fact, that nail has not had any further filing done since I rounded the corners of all my nails a couple three weeks ago. I just found a a small nick in the edge of that nail as I wrote this and just lightly filed it smooth again.

Maybe keeping the corners rounded will help me keep a nice length all the time. I'm sure hoping so.

That's it for now. I'm about to paint these babies but not sure yet what I'm gonna do with them. I still need to watch some videos on how to do that brush stroke manicure and I'll need to get some practice in before I do it for real.  Right now, though, I'm thinking of going in a teal kind of direction. You'll see what I do in my next post.

Until then, thanks for reading and stay tuned.

Penny
