Another Haul Post!

Happy rainy Saturday - at least in my part of the world. It has poured buckets around here today but I think it has finally let up. I was getting worried we would be flooded in.

So, in the middle of this monsoon, I trucked it out to Walgreens today for some pain patches for my left shoulder that decided to complain about the weather and lookit what else just jumped into my basket.

Guess this means that Walgreens is not only dangerous to me for the sake of nail polish but now makeup as well. I had some birthday money to spend and there were some coupons that worked. I should have some pretty huge points out of all this that I can use next time I'm there.

Let's take a look at what I got.

First, the Wet n Wild Coloricon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana.

Kind of light for a bronzer but I've seen some beauty bloggers use this as a finishing powder and to set their under eyes. I was actually kind of surprised that I managed to snag one. This seems to be the one that sells out the quickest.

I also picked up the Wet n Wild Coverall Correcting Palette.

I was mainly interested in the green, but I think I'll be able to use at least two of the other correctors as well. I did look for just a green primer but this one cost the least and had the other three colors.

I also picked up two of the L'Oreal Infallible shadows.

I had already intended to get Amber Rush after seeing it on some beauty vlogs. Walgreens was having a buy one, get one half off so I also picked up Infinite Sky - a very pretty blue.

I did get another mascara since I'm not all that thrilled with the Double Extend version. My normal is L'Oreal Voluminous, but I opted for the Voluminous Million Lashes this time in carbon black.

Shiny!

And then I went wild with the lip products. I was trying to be sensible and just get a lip pencil but then realized the only gloss I had was a heavily frosted pink so I had to get more gloss, right? Something a bit more neutral. Yeah. Let's take a look at that damage to my bank account.

I actually ended up getting a lip liner instead of a pencil. This is Rimmel Exaggerate Full Color Lip Liner in Innocent.

On top of that, is Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain in Nudist Colony.

Glossed that up with the Fergie Vicious Varnish in Giving Realness.

How's that for a really nude lip.

I also got two pretty lip glosses from Burt's Bees - Sunny Day, a sheer peachy gloss with a gorgeous gold shimmer,  and Ocean Sunrise, a sheer pink with a pink shimmer.

I blotted what I already had on then applied Sunny Day...

...and Ocean Sunrise.

The difference between the two is very subtle and I like that the shimmer is also subtle and not at all in your face. I like frosty but not for an everyday look. I really prefer a nude kind of lip, mainly because I tend to really play up my eyes when I do use makeup.

As if that wasn't enough, I got nail mail from Gothic Gala Lacquers.

After being so impressed with the bottle of Sex on the Beach polish remover I used out of the June 2015 Beauty Quartet Box, I went ahead and ordered four more of the 2oz removers in four different 'flavors'.

And since I was already there, why not pick up a few polishes while I'm at it? So...I did.

On the left is Gypsy Rose Lee - a magenta holo; on the right is Vallis Sanguine - a plum holo.

On the right is Odin - a grape purple holo; on the left is Perle Noir - a lighter purple/gray holo.

These are all the mini sized polishes - you know, so I could buy more, but then I found something else in the box that I wasn't expecting.

This is a full sized polish named Mystery Polish. A very nice surprise - thank you, Samantha! That was so sweet of you.

This particular mystery is periwinkle blue based with a holographic shimmer and just a pinch of larger glitters. If the LED flashlight on my phone is any indication, this one will sparkle like mad out in the sun. Too bad we've been without the sun for days here.

I am planning a swatch day for tomorrow and hope to get these swatched for you as well as the polishes from the June 2015 Beauty Quartet Box. That is, if my shoulder will let me. It's the left one and I move it just wrong and it feels like an ice pick shoved into the joint. Typing actually hurts. Arthur is definitely not my friend this weekend.

Hope to see you tomorrow. Until then, thanks for reading and stay tuned.

Penny
