Just took off my mani using the Gothic Gala Lacquers polish remover and just had to share the results. I am so impressed with this stuff that I may just start using it as my go-to remover (sorry, Zoya).
that's potting soil under my thumbnail, btw
The scent, Sex on the Beach, is delightfully tropical - all coconutty and pineapple-y - just yummy. Doesn't conflict with my nail oil that I put on right after removing to get the rehydration started even before I wash my hands. It does come in lots of other fragrances, though, in case the tropical scent isn't your cup of tea.
So, how well does it work? Very well. The manicure being removed was all holo, which usually isn't all that difficult to remove anyway but I was amazed at how fast the polish melted beneath the saturated cotton round - well, half of a round. I always cut the rounds in half and use a single half per nail.
This was the little 2oz size that came in the June 2015 Beauty Quartet Box I received last week.
Fast removal, delightfully scented and no drying? Sounds like I have found my new remover. It can be bought here at an amazingly reasonable price. Looking forward to placing an order for this. Might even find a couple of bottles of polish in my order. How in the world did those get there? *grin*
On another but related note, guess who has decided to try makeup again? Yep. That would be me. I put in a order for NYX products, including what looks like a really nice kit with everything needed but foundation and mascara.
The mascara will be L'Oreal, actually, which is what I've always used but in a different form. I'll do a haul post when all that stuff gets here. It's part of my birthday, which is this coming Thursday, and the stuff should be here either Tuesday or Wednesday. I cannot wait to start playing.
I've been watching makeup videos on YouTube (is there nothing you can't find a video for there?), which is what has inspired me. I highly recommend Vitale Style by Laura Vitale. She is just so darn cute and does so many gorgeous makeup looks. She also does cooking videos and has a cookbook coming out in October so do check out that channel, as well. Just keep a snack handy because you will get hungry.
That's it for now. Gotta go give the nails a good scrubbing and oiling and decide what to put on them next.
Until next time, thanks for reading and stay tuned.
