Nails: Ever After Have Courage & Be Kind, and A Surprise

Happy Wednesday!

I am so excited to show you this amazing polish from the Ever After goodie bag I received at the Ohio Nail Girls meet up.

This is one of those polishes that is hard to capture on a photo. At least is was for me.

I give you Have Courage & Be Kind from Ever After Polish...

lookit the flakies in that bottle!

Have Courage & Be Kind is a hot, hot neon pink with a blue shimmer and flakies! Some flakies are big, some are little but all of them really make this polish special.

This polish just glows on me. I love how it makes my hands look so tanned. Well, maybe not in the actual sunlight.

That blue really pops in the sunlight.

The formula on this one could not have been better. I used three coats here and I'm telling the truth when I say they were easy coats. I could have stopped at two but I really wanted to take advantage of that pink. I know it doesn't look very neon here but trust me, this baby is wake up your eyes bright neon.

Not sure if this one will eventually be on sale on the site but I'm sure hoping so. For someone who keeps saying she's not a pink girl, I'm certainly loving me this pink.

I have two more polishes that I got on Saturday to show in a later post. If they're anything like this one, I know I'm gonna love'em. There's also the other 33 polishes I came home with. Lot's to blog about in the coming days.

And the surprise?

New hair! Terri did an awesome job, as per usual. I am letting the bangs grow out now. Actually, I'm letting it all grow out a bit. I really like the cut but I'm ready for longer hair now. I do this all the time.

The color is a brown with red/violet highlights. The red really pops in the sun.

Pardon the squinty eyes but it is bright here for a change.

I just love the subtlety of this color. It's not in your face red and the violet does show up in the right light.

The makeup is a mish mash: Maybelline Age Rewind foundation in Creamy Natural and I used the Neutralizer concealer from the same line; e.l.f. bronzer in Warm and Covergirl Cheekers blush in Natural Rose. On my eyes are some mauve colors out of the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette. On my lips is e.l.f. Flirty and Fabulous.

I'm wearing the Maybelline foundation for the first time and other than the fact that it doesn't come with a pump, I'm really liking this foundation. I did use the e.l.f. Moisturizing Primer underneath it and despite all the powdery products, my skin doesn't feel as parched. The makeup seems to be wearing well, too. Not as much SPF as the Supergoop! CC cream, though. Still, it's a decent foundation that I'll probably reach for from time to time.

That's it for now. Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
