Reviewed: August Ipsy Bag

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have the Ipsy bag for August to show you. The theme for this one was Prep School.

I love the bag itself for this month. It’s made of a textured vinyl that should resist liquids so it will protect whatever I put into it. And the pink zipper is just pretty.

And this bag is stuffed - as well as bright hot pink inside.

Starting with the Doucce Ultra Precision Eye Liner.

No color name but the number is 500 and it’s obviously black. The casing is interesting on this one. Plastic instead of wood. Not sure how well it'll work in my sharpener, though.

It’s the full-size product and goes for $22.00.

From Hikari, I received this lip gloss in the color Merlot.

It's photographing a bit lighter here but in reality is a kind of cool berry color. Not sure I actually like it on me but maybe with a full face of makeup I might feel differently.

This is the full size and goes for $13.00.

Then from Oz Naturals, their Amino Herbal Hydration Mask.

It feels cool going on - well, on the back of my hand it felt cool. With hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5 and vitamin E, I’m looking forward to trying this one out.

The full size is 4 ounces and goes for $21.99 on Amazon. The sample size is one ounce, so the estimated value would be $5.50.

From Briogeo, their Blossom & Bloom Ginseng and Biotin Volumizing Blow Dry Spray.

This is another one I’m looking forward to using. The website says it’s good for thin hair to make it look thicker and stimulate the growth of healthy, new hair. We’ll see.

Full size is 5.1 ounces and retails for $18.00. This sample size is one ounce and worth about $3.50.

Finally, they included a nail polish from Trust Fund Beauty.

The color is called Elegantly Wasted, a lovely light purple. Really wish I could swatch this one for you. It's so pretty.

This may or may not be a full size. On the website, the full size is .57 ounces and this is .50 ounces. Either way, the retail price is $15.00.

Total estimated value of this bag would be $59. Pretty good deal for $10 a month. You can get your own Ipsy bag here.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
