Reviewed: October Boxycharm

Happy BTTF day!

In case you don't know, BTTF stands for Back To The Future day. October 21, 2015 is the future day that Marty and Doc travelled to in the 2nd movie. Lots of predictions in the movie have actually become reality. How cool is that? I'll be watching the movies later but first, I'm hurrying to get this up since I didn't manage to get it scheduled last night.

This is the Boxycharm beauty box for October.

The theme for this month is Faces of the Moon.

All of the products in this box are full size this month. Once again, Boxycharm is coming out on top with regard to value for the monthly cost of $21. This month's box is no exception.

Starting with the most expensive product in the box - the Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxident Mask.

This mask contains kaolin clay as well as hyaluronic acid. It has a pleasant scent and there is a ton of product in this 1.75 ounce jar and it sells for $64.

Next, from Doucce, their Punk Volumizer Mascara in Black.

I have loved every product I've received by Doucce. I'm hoping this mascara is no exception. I'll be using this tomorrow so I'll definitely let you know how it goes.

The cap on this one looks just like red lipstick.

And the brush is huge.

Not sure how well a brush this large will work but I'll find out in the morning. This is a full sized product and sells for $24.

Next is a lip and cheek stain from Bellapierre Cosmetics.

The color is Coral and as the title states, can be used on both lips and cheeks. It is a cream so I will probably not use it on my cheeks, although it does blend out to a nice flush so I might change my mind and play with it a bit. I didn't blend it all the way out for this swatch because it literally disappears into the skin with enough blending and was very hard to see on camera.

I do really like it on the lips, though. It's so my color.

My only complaint is mode of application. When using fingers, it's kind of hard to control where it goes. I had it all over the outside of my lips before I got it built up to where it could be seen. It's actually kind of the color of my lips. Using a brush is a bit better but still, the color isn't deeply pigmented so build up would be required.

Another full sized product, this one sells for $19.99.

Next is a black eyeliner and shadow pencil from Lord & Berry.

what the heck is on my hands? black from the confetti worms in the box most likely.

Nothing out of the ordinary - this just a black eyeliner pencil. I have other, cheaper that are just as dark but this one does goes on smoothly without dragging so perhaps it would be worth the cost, which I'll get into in a sec. Also, not the skinniest line in the world but perhaps freshly sharpened might make the difference. Since it's also a shadow pencil, that may be why. The pencil sells for $18 so definitely higher end.

And finally, a cream nail polish from Cult called Boneyards - nail swatch!

Yes, I'm back to swatching. The lifted nails have grown out and I'm so ready to polish again.

This is my first polish from Cult and is a dream to apply. My thumb and ring fingers have three coats only because I wanted to see if a third coat made any difference. However, I think two careful coats is sufficient. Dry time is pretty good, too.

This is a nice gray color for fall and while it is a cream, I'm noticing the color differently depending on the light. These pics were taken with flash so the color shows up lighter. It's darker with less light. I would do my other hand if I didn't have some Pipe Dream Polish to play with. Doing a skittle later. Can't wait!

Cult polishes run $12. This is also the company that offers the Black Box for $19.99 + S&H. The box includes two nail colors as well as a full-sized beauty product. I would post a link but I couldn't find a way of logging out of the site. You should be able to find them easily through whatever search engine you use.

So, the total value of this box is $137.99. Even though I've yet to receive the Beauty Box 5 box, I'm pretty sure Boxycharm has the win for the month of October. Something tells me they'll always have the win with 4-5 full sizes in every box worth over $100 for $21 a month. If you would like to give Boxycharm a try, you can go here to sign up.

That's it for now. Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
