And to my American friends - Happy Thanksgiving! I do hope everyone has had or is having a wonderful day filled with family and/or friends. Because friends can be family. I know I consider my friends part of my family.
If you're not in too much of a turkey stupor (or otherwise), how about we take a look at what Boxycharm came up with for this month?
All of these are full sized products. I'm going to do them on order starting with the one with the lowest retail price.
That would be the Luxie Rose Gold Concealer Eye Brush 211.
Even the ferrule on this brush is a rose color. I don't normally use a brush for applying or blending out concealer but I think this would work well for packing on eyeshadow. This is a synthetic bristle brush made without parabens and coated with an antibacterial solution. Still going to wash before using it, though.
The brush retails for $12.
Next in line is a blush from Studiomakeup.
This is the Soft Blend Blush in the color Sahara. Formula on this blush is awesome. Buttery with no powder kick-up whatsoever. And just my color.
The retail price on this is $17.
The next item on the way up is from Coolway.
This is a leave-in conditioner that promises to leave hair hydrated and shiny with no split ends.
The directions say to spray this generously onto dry or damp hair but...
...that is more of a pump type dispenser and not a spray, right? Which means you pump the product into the palm of your hand and apply it that way, I would assume. Which is also pretty much how I apply anything on my hair even when there is a spray nozzle.
I would, however, need several pumps out of this because it doesn't pump out very much in a single go.
Still, I think it might be worth the effort. This is a creamy kind of thing and smells incredible. The retail price is $19.95 - for only 2 ounces, mind you. Better be amazing for that price.
Have any idea where this is all headed yet? Two more products to go.
The next one is a lip gloss from Manna Kadar.
Now, I don't know about you but looking at that swatch puts me in mind of more of a liquid lipstick than a gloss. It's glossy, yes, but so very pigmented. And I love this color. So happy I keep getting colors that suit me.
This is the second product I've received from this brand and I have to say I am very impressed. The other was a lash primer that I have used but need to be mindful of the mascara I put over it or I end up with tarantula lashes.
Retail price on this one is $24.
Ready for number one on this rising retail price scale? I really love this one and can't wait to use it.
Everything I have ever received from the Pur-Lisse line has been awesome. I'm thinking that eventually, I will have to invest in the moisturizers. They work very well for me and leave my skin feeling so hydrated it's ridiculous.
The only, very minor complaint I might have with this stuff is how much the pump delivers.
A little too much for an eye cream. I'll really have to be careful when using this, especially considering how much this stuff would cost to purchase. Are you sitting down? How does $65 grab you?
I mean wowza! Kind of afraid to start using it, though. If this is anything like the moisturizers, I'm gonna wanna get more when it's gone.
Since I doubt anybody's doing the math considering all the tryptophan racing through your bloodstream, I did it for you. The total actual value of this box is $137.95. The monthly cost is $21.
Winner, winner, turkey dinner!
Not surprising. Boxycharm is the number one best value in subscription boxes, hands down. Of the ones I get, anyway. If I ever have to whittle down to a single box, this is the one that would be left standing. And you can go get your own right here. The total box value has been consistent so far at around $130. I'm really looking forward to the December box, though, and wondering if they ramp it up for that one. We'll see.
Whew! That's a lot of posts in a holiday week and it's not over yet. Stop back tomorrow to see what I wore out and about yesterday.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
