Reviewed: March Glossybox

Happy Saturday!

I was totally stoked about the March Glossybox and you'll probably see why the second you look at the photo.

Just like a single item dampened my enthusiasm for the February Glossybox, a single item in the March box sent my enthusiasm soaring. I think I even gasped when I saw that one item in here. And then saw the Luxie brush and it was just a party after that.

Let's look at that brush, shall we? Yes, I'm mean that way.

This is the large angled face brush. It's soft, it's luxurious, it's Luxie. As I said a post or two ago, I will have that $110 rose gold set eventually without having to actually shell out $110.

This brush sells for $16.

There was another felt tipped black liner in this box. From Eyeko - a brand I am really starting to like.

The color is Carbon Black - actually, the tube calls this waterproof, lash enhancing carbon black. And it is black. The tip makes a decently thin line. Of course, I have since discovered why girls use so much black eyeliner. To hide the mascara that gets on the lid. At least, that's a reason I'll use it. I have yet to apply mascara and not get it on my lid.

This is a half size sample. The full size is .07 ounces and sells for $20, making my sample worth around $11.43.

All right. And from Too Faced, the item that had me gasping even before I saw the Luxie brush.

Don't really need to introduce you all, do I? I have always wanted to try one of these and now, thanks to Glossybox, I can.

I found the tip of this product to be quite interesting. Oh, the shade is called Chihuahua, by the way.

The tip is made out of the same material as your typical doe-foot applicator but this one is attached to the tube and the lipstick applies just like lipstick. Or a lip balm.

You squeeze the tube to dispense the product.

And apply. It is very pigmented and creamy and looks more orange in my pictures than it actually is. It's a pink toned nude in real life and my perfect color.

I don't think this will dry my lips at all. I'll be wearing it a lot, I think. I want to get a few more now.

This is also a full size and sells for $21.

The next product is a face cream from a brand called Vine Vera, their Resveratrol Merlot Moisture Day Cream.

There's two little pots here. Not sure if this was intentional or if I ended up with an extra. Don't know how much in here but I compared to another potted product I have that's a quarter of an ounce and they're pretty much a match.

A little bit about the product - it contains something called resveratrol, which comes from the skin of red grapes, thus the Merlot in the name, I suppose. Their website has an entire page talking about resveratrol. Apparently it has quite a few benefits for skin and overall health. I only scanned the page but you can follow that link to read it for yourself if you're interested. Vine Vera is a global brand that does not test their products on animals.

This stuff is not cheap, by any means. The full size is 1.83 ounces and sells for a whopping $146. If these pots each contain a quarter of an ounce, they are worth around $39.88 together.

And finally, that large, white tube - a hand cream from a brand called I Love...(yes, the ellipsis is in the name.)

When they say coconut, they ain't kiddin'. The entire box smelled like coconut from the second I opened it even though the tube had that foil seal over the spout. On my skin, it smells more like toasted coconut. I might not enjoy eating coconut but I love the smell. The lotion is rich yet light and doesn't leave my hands feeling greasy. I'll be putting this one on my nightstand for bedtime use.

This is also a full sized product and sells for a very economical $6.

Thanks to the Vine Vera products, the total estimated value of this box tops out at $94.31. I may have overestimated the price on the Vine Vera pots but I couldn't be too far off.

On another note, if you've been paying attention, you'll know that I started using Paula's Choice skincare products a week ago. And if you didn't, well, now you do. I'm planning a full review to go up either Sunday or Monday. Lots of good things to say about this skincare line but I'll save it for that post.

Meanwhile, there is one more box yet to come - Beauty Box Five is a little bit late but they apparently had supply issues. They didn't go into specifics but I am intrigued so looking forward to seeing what will be in that box. I do have the March Boxycharm and it was another one that got me all excited. I think I've already mentioned it, maybe not. One hint: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows. Did I get a duo chrome? You'll have to check back to find out.

So, thanks for reading and stay tuned. Lots more to come.
