I finally got my hands on the new matte eyeshadow palette from ELF - Mad for Matte 2.
colors are deeper in real life than they appear here
I loved the original Mad for Matte palette. Here's a side by side for comparison.
original on the bottom - again, colors are deeper than they appear here
Now, to me, the original Mad for Matte colors were a lot more muted - not as deep and dark. Thought I already had swatch pics but didn't so did some just for this post.
Some of the colors are hard to see here. Not that they aren't pigmented because they are. They're just so close to my own skin color that they all but disappear. Like I said, the original palette is a lot more muted.
The rebooted palette is quite a bit deeper color-wise. Very nice for Fall/Winter. Only one of the colors blends with my skin color. All are extremely pigmented with a buttery formula. I think the formula is improved from the original.
Just look at how deep that black is, not at all patchy!
Seriously, get your hands on this palette. It's only $10, which is $1 per shadow. I still can't get over the high-end quality of this palette for a low-end price. ELF really kicked it out of the park with this one.
If you follow me on Facebook, you'll have already seen my very excited post that the Too Faced Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette will soon be part of my collection. I've been watching YouTube reviews of the whole Sweet Peach collection. The eyeshadow palette is getting some good reviews. I had a Sephora gift card from Christmas so....yeah, totally spent it.
Hope your Monday is or has been a good one. Thanks for reading and stay tuned!
